First Place Elementary
It is our privilege to partner with families as we encourage and nurture the spiritual understanding and growth of your elementary-aged children. In Ignite, we point the 1st – 4th grade children to Jesus by giving them a place to worship and to learn virtues through engaging Bible stories and Children’s worship. They also participate in an age-appropriate small group time with leaders who believe in them.
Ignite
Saturdays • 6:00 pm | Sundays • 9:30 am & 11:00 am
Our Ignite program coincides with our Saturday and Sunday worship services.
In Ignite, 1st – 4th grade children are welcomed by the friendly faces of the Children’s Ministry staff, along with adult and teenage volunteers who join us in building friendships, enjoying fellowship, singing praise and discovering biblical truths. Children gather as a large group in the gym to listen to the Bible story and worship together kid style. Children finish out each session of Ignite in age-specific small groups where they will participate in meaningful activities and discussion to reinforce the key points of the lesson. We also share resources, lessons, tips, and curriculum to help you, the parent, extend their learning from church into the home.
We provide a safe and secure environment so that you can feel at ease leaving your child in the care of our dedicated and caring staff and volunteers who have undergone a background check and training in safety and sanitation. In addition to that, the Children’s Ministry staff are CPR/First Aid trained. The check-in computers are located on the 1st floor of building A where staff is available to help you.
In Ignite we concentrate on Three Basic Truths:
- I need to make the wise choice
- I can trust God no matter what
- I should treat others the way I want to be treated
We realize that many kids attend two service times. To ensure they are engaged, motivated, and enjoy their time with us, we will provide different elements each hour. Each session of Ignite will contain different worship songs, videos, and live teaching elements, and also different activities during small group time.
ReCharge
Wednesdays • 6:30 -8:00 pm
Our ReCharge program is offered every Wednesday from 6:30 -8:00 pm.
1st-4th graders gather Wednesday nights during the “school year” for fellowship, large group games, and small group discussion. Recharge invites children to expand their hearts and minds while helping children spend more time engaging with the Bible.
The children will rotate through the activities while grouped by grade level. Children are encouraged to invite friends to this awesome and highly active, midweek experience.
