Several times through this season of Lent, Pastor David has reminded us of how Jesus, knowing full well of the incredibly difficult path ahead of him, “resolutely sets out for Jerusalem.”
As the time approached for him to be taken up to heaven, Jesus resolutely set out for Jerusalem.
Luke 9:51
It’s time church. This is our week to head out and go to Jerusalem with Jesus. This is not the walk to miss!
Tomorrow night (Maundy Thursday) is our Holy Thursday Service at 7:00 pm. Thursday acknowledges the Last Supper Passover meal in the upper room. On Thursday night Jesus prayed and sweated blood in the Garden of Gethsemane. Take time to mark that incredible night either Indoor with us in the Sanctuary or Online.
Good Friday is two nights away at 7:00 pm. There was nothing good about Good Friday as this day marks the betrayal, arrest, trial, and crucifixion. Gather with fellow believers Friday Night Indoors or Online as our Pastoral Team leads us through that hard hard day through the words of the Disciples who were there.
Easter begins with a rolled-away tomb and a sunrise! Our Easter is no different as we begin Easter Sunday at Town Park at 7:00 am for our Sunrise Service. Your worship opportunities continue as we move over to the incredible space and social-distancing-space at the MISD Center for the Performing Arts at 9:00 am and again at 11:00 am for Easter Sunday Service at 1110 W Debbie Lane, Mansfield.
We have room for everyone you can even THINK about inviting to safely spread out, take photos at multiple Photo Booths before or after the service, hunt for eggs on your way in or out, and to worship in spectacular sound and sight. Register for KidsCare for 3 years and younger here. All ages of Special Needs care is also available (register here) at the 11:00 Service at the Center for Performing Arts.
Lastly, don’t just come to Easter. Join your church in bringing Easter to Mansfield and the world around you and me. Come WELCOME with our Guest Services Team. Join the fun of Easter for Children or Special Needs with our Family Life Team. Email info@fmcm.org to tell us when you can help even if it is for 20 minutes before or after a service.
Take this week’s Holy Week services to stand and resolutely follow Jesus the Christ to resolutely walk through this world.
Easter is coming and He Does Rise!
