Pray • Fast • Serve
Make your summer meaningful.
As we live into the summer rhythm together, we want to remain connected by focusing on these three words and practices. Check out these easy ways you and your family can Pray • Fast • Serve this summer!
PRAY
Set an alarm for noon each day this summer and pray The Lord’s Prayer wherever you are—at home, on vacation, or with friends and family.
Download Lectio 365 on your phone or device and join in their daily devotionals by listening or reading. Play it on a road trip, listen while on vacation, or read it before heading out for the day.
Since prayer is about slowing down, create space for Sabbath this summer. With the different rhythm of summer days, take time to step away from distractions and spend intentional time with God—whether on your own or with your family.
Worship with us online this summer as we begin our series on The Lord’s Prayer, starting the weekend of June 20–21. Join us live or watch later on YouTube, Facebook, or our website.
FAST
Our goal for 2026 is to reclaim the practice of fasting as a way to offer our whole selves to God, grow in holiness, and stand with the poor. We invite our entire church to set aside Wednesdays as a day to fast together in one of three ways:
- A 24-hour fast by foregoing breakfast and lunch
- A lunchtime fast by foregoing lunch
- Or, for those unable to fast from food for health reasons, setting aside something else as a way to participate in the practice
Include your whole family by fasting from a specific food or drink item together, or try a “screen fast” during a day of vacation.
Check out this resource to help introduce the spiritual practice of fasting to your child.
Practice of Fasting
Fast to Feed Others through our Feed the City offering! As a way of standing with the poor, we take up a monthly Feed the City offering alongside our fasting practice. We invite each person to bring $10 on the dates listed below. Through our shared sacrifice, we hope to give at least $10,000 each month to support food ministries and programs throughout our city.
