Where Are You Going?

by David Alexander

Thoughts from David Alexander

Dear First Family,

This weekend I am looking forward to beginning a new four-week series with you entitled, Where Are You Going? In this series we are going to be looking at the Christian life and that while technology has made traveling from point A to point B much easier for us, there are no turn-by-turn directions for the Christian life.

As a result, we may never end up going anywhere because we don’t know how to get there. Perhaps the more significant challenge we face is that we don’t really know where “there” is.

I hope you will be with us for the first week of what I believe will be an important and helpful series as we look at where we are meant to be going and how we actually get there in our life with Jesus.

Today I also wanted to highlight that we will be hosting the Mansfield Philharmonic symphony in our Sanctuary this Sunday at 7 pm. This free concert which will include more than 70 players will be featuring the great classical music of Beethoven. We are grateful for our partnership with these incredibly talented musicians and the opportunity to share this blessing with our community.

I can’t wait to see you in person or welcome you online this Sunday. Gathering with brothers and sisters is a core practice of the Christian life strengthening and equipping us for the road ahead. I am praying that these upcoming weeks will enable us all to better understand which road will take us where God wants us to go.

I love you and I’m proud of you,
Pastor David
