Who can serve at VBC?

Adults and students in 5th grade or older (for the 2024-2025 school year) are welcome to join the VBC Serving Team. There are many opportunities to serve in different roles!

What are the available volunteer shifts?

Volunteers can choose from Morning Serving Team (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM) or Evening Serving Team (6:00 PM – 8:00 PM), depending on your availability.

Do I need experience to serve?

No experience is necessary! We will provide all the training and materials you need. Just bring your excitement and a willingness to serve.

What roles are available for volunteers?

There are a variety of roles available, from leading small groups to assisting with activities, games, and worship. You’ll find a role that fits your gifts and interests.

What do I get for volunteering?

Volunteers will receive a FREE T-shirt as a thank-you for helping make VBC an unforgettable experience for kids. You’ll also have the opportunity to build friendships, grow in your own faith, and make a real impact on kids’ lives.

How do I register to serve?

You can register to serve by clicking the volunteer registration link. Once you’ve signed up, we’ll follow up with training and more information.

Can I serve and have my child participate in WEE VBC?

Yes! If you’re volunteering at VBC, your child (ages 1-4) can join WEE VBC. After registering to serve, you can register your child for the WEE VBC session.

Are there any age restrictions for volunteers?

Volunteers must be in 5th grade or older for the 2024-2025 school year. There is no upper age limit, so adults of all ages are welcome to serve!

What should I wear while volunteering at VBC?

We recommend wearing comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes suitable for serving. If you’re volunteering outdoors, please be prepared for weather conditions.

Is there a training session for volunteers?

Yes, we will provide training for all volunteers before VBC begins. You will receive more details about training dates and times after you register.

Can I serve for multiple sessions?

Yes, if you’re available, we welcome you to serve for multiple sessions. You can choose to serve during both the morning and evening sessions based on your schedule.

What if I need to cancel or change my volunteer schedule?

If something comes up and you need to cancel or change your volunteer schedule, please notify us as soon as possible so we can find an alternative volunteer for that slot.
