Fall Family Extravaganza is this Saturday!

Dear First Family, 
 
A beautiful weekend is set to begin, and we will kick that off with a fantastic fall celebration this Saturday Night beginning at 3:30pm. Our Fall Family Extravaganza will include a ton of fun activities for the kiddos, a Chili Cookoff and a special Hamburger or Hot Dog dinner benefitting our Included Special Needs Ministry provided by the Sunshine Rotary Club here in Mansfield. 
 
We are going to have a lot of fun and don’t forget that this event is a great opportunity for you to invite a friend to experience First Methodist Mansfield for the first time.  
 
With much of our parking lot dedicated to all these outdoor activities, we want to encourage you to park in our remote lot right across from our campus on Pleasant Ridge drive. To find out more about this year’s Fall Family Extravaganza as well as ways you can serve, visit our website here. 
 
Today I also want to remind you that I will be leading a trip to the Holy Land from January 24th through February 3rd. We already have a great group signed up but there is still space available for you as well as any family or friends who may want to participate. Pricing for this trip will increase in a couple of weeks so if you are interested, you can visit our website to find more information or to sign up to be a part of this once in a lifetime experience.

This week I hope you received a packet with all the information you need for our Church Conference on November 13th at 2pm. If you did not receive that, additional copies will be available at our Connecting Point this weekend. 
 
Let me highlight just a few details about this important day in the life of our church. 
 
First and foremost, I want to invite you to claim with me that this is a day for us to be together. 
 
With that in mind, rather than having our three normal weekend services, we will be having one combined service at 11am on November 13th led by all our worship teams including our choir and orchestra. 
 
Following worship, all will be invited to stay for a BBQ lunch catered by Big D BBQ here in Mansfield. We will have a huge tent outside where we will all be able to gather and share this meal together. Check in for the 2pm Church Conference will be available starting at 1pm in the sanctuary. 
 
If you are a member planning on attending our conference, we would strongly encourage you to pre-register for that which you can do by clicking this link.
 
As we prepare for this gathering, if you still have questions, I am hosting seven more Coffee With The Pastor small group gatherings. To facilitate these smaller conversations, we are limiting those to 25 participants, so registration is required. There is still space available at all four scheduled in this next week on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
