Dear First Family,
It will be a special weekend in the life of our church as we celebrate the second week of our Advent season and prepare to receive the many gifts you have purchased to bless over 500 Angels that have been adopted from our Angel tree. You are invited to bring these tangible forms of generosity to our Atrium space this weekend.
If for some reason you are unable to bring those gifts during one of our service times this weekend, please email our Mission Team and they will make arrangements with you.
We had such an incredible response this year to our Angel Tree. This past Monday a text went out to our congregation letting you know that we had several Angels left and within two hours, all had been adopted and many others donations to help supplement your gifts.
This is what generosity looks like and one of the many reasons why it is a tremendous honor to serve as your Senior Pastor.
In this same spirit, we continue preparing for the nine opportunities on December 23rd and 24th (listed below) for our community to participate in a Christmas Eve candlelight service. In each of those nine services, the generosity in our local community will be multiplied by the special offering we receive each year for ZOE Ministry – our partner in empowering orphans in Rwanda and India to overcome extreme poverty and achieve self-sufficiency.
I also want you to know that this Sunday we will also be offering a special Remembrance service at 4pm in our chapel.
In this time of worship, you are welcome to bring a picture of your loved one to display and all will be invited to light a candle to honor a loved one you want to remember this Christmas. For more information about this service, feel free to email our care team at care@fmcm.org.
At the edge of our seats, with a holy anticipation, we are waiting for the Lord to reveal himself to us in profound ways.
I look forward to being with you in worship this weekend.
Pastor David
