Thankful for You

by Taylor Davis

A Note from Taylor Davis

Hello FMCM Family!

We are thankful for you! I mean really… the entire Staff at this church, Pastoral, Ministry Directors, the business people, the support service teams, full-time and part-time; we all thank the Lord for each of you. How do I know that? Because by any measure this has been a hard year to “give your job your best, positive effort” and I have seen this team do just that.

Your Church Staff wants you to know that as we come off of yesterday’s Thanksgiving Holiday, we are thankful that God has placed us with you and are thankful for you, your smiling faces, your gifts, your talents, and your spirit-filled lives!

Now, we head straight into this most joyous of seasons to celebrate the birth of the Savior of the world and we could not be more excited to show you what we mean by BIG CHRISTMAS. 2020 has been a Big Mess, so we have given Big Effort because we believe in a Big God who wants his people to have a Big Christmas.

November 29th is the Big Big day!

12:30 – 4:30 – Drop off your Angel Tree gifts in the Pleasant Ridge circle drive. We have only about 40 angels left! You can still adopt one by going to fmcmonline.org/angeltree.

2:00 – 4:00 – BIG Christmas Showcase Drive-Thru, Come by our campus and get a sneak peek of what BIG Christmas looks like this year! Drive-thru at our Walnut Creek Circle Drive and pick up your First Methodist Mansfield Christmas Guide with all of the information you would ever need about what we have to offer this Christmas season. Pick up your pre-purchased Big Christmas shirt, or purchase on that day! Our Children’s Ministry and Group Life teams also have great advent resources you can drive by and pick up! Christmas is coming! We want to equip you with everything you need to make your own Christmas BIG!

4:00 – Our last Outdoor Worship at 4pm. We will continue to have Outdoor Worship offered on Sunday mornings in December at 9:30 and 11:00.

5:30 – Silent Night Filming – Come be part of our Silent Night Filming Experience this Sunday at 5:30 pm in our Remote Parking Lot right after Outdoor Worship. This year is going to be a little different for Christmas Eve – and we want to make Silent Night extra special! Bring your whole family and be part of the video footage that will air on Christmas Eve! Sing Silent Night at the beginning of this Christmas season – outdoors – and be part of something new this year! Email us at info@fmcm.org for more information!
Stay safe wherever you are, be thankful for whatever you have, and be on campus as much as you can in December to share our BIG Christmas with whoever you see.
