Milestone Programs

These seasonal discipleship opportunities are offered on Sundays in the Spring semester.
Each program is 9-11 sessions, plus a weekend retreat.

Programs

CONFIRMATION

6th Grade
Explore the foundations of the Christian faith with peers and mentors. Through this intentional spiritual formation program, students cover topics such as: God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, Scripture, Service & Generosity, Grace & Salvation, Means of Grace, The Church, First Methodist Mansfield. The journey through Confirmation is intended to help students take ownership of their faith. At the Confirmation Service, students affirm their response to God’s grace and proclaim faith in Christ and their baptismal covenant.

10 Weeks + Weekend Retreat + Confirmation Service

ALPHA

9th Grade
Engage in honest and open conversations about life, faith, and Jesus in a way that is fun and authentic. Alpha is a series of conversations about things we all question in life: Why do bad things happen to good people? What’s the purse of life? What’s next? This is a judgment-free space to ask hard questions and talk about topics.

9 Weeks + Weekend Retreat

CAPSTONE

12th Grade
Grow through faith-based principles integrated into practical experiences with peers and mentors. The goals of Capstone are to PREPARE Seniors for life as a Christ follower after high school. CONNECT students with God and with their peers. SERVE those within our ministry, congregation and community and LEAD through different avenues of Students Ministries and First Methodist Mansfield. We accomplish these goals by combining deep Christ-centered discussions with hands-on activities that help develop important life skills.

10 Weeks + Weekend Retreat + Service Project
