5th- 6th GRADE WEEKLY PROGRAMS
SUNDAY MORNINGS
Sunday • 9:30 & 11:00 am
Join us as we study scripture in community! Bring your bible (or we’ll provide you one) and learn how to make sense of what it says and what God is saying to you through his Word. Growing your bible study skills is an important part of your formation as a follower of Jesus. Let’s do it together!
The bible study during both services is the same, and we encourage students to attend worship with their family during the other service.
Serving on Sunday
Students also serve in various ways on Sunday Mornings. Opportunities include greeting, serving communion, assisting in Children’s worship, running A/V, reading scripture, ushering, leading prayer, and more. We would love to help you discover where to serve!
MIDWEEK WORSHIP
Wednesday During School Year • 6:30 – 8:00 pm
On Wednesdays, we come together to worship, hear God’s Word, and build meaningful relationships. Our messages focus on biblical truths and how they connect with students’ lives. Above all, we want to create a fun environment for students to encounter Jesus and experience his love through community.
Drop off and Pick Up
- On Sunday mornings, students check in at the check-in station located at the top of the stairs outside of the Loft. Students are welcome to come up and do this on their own or a parent can come up to check them in, if desired. Students then hang out in The Lounge area until large group begins.
- On Wednesday evenings (Midweek Programming) students come up to the loft to play games and hang out until large group begins. They are not required to check in upon arrival as they are marked present by their group leaders during small group time.
- All students may be picked up by their parents in the loft once Sunday morning or Wednesday evening programming is over, or they are welcome to leave on their own to meet their parents in another location.

MISSION WEEK
Annually for 6th Graders
Mission Week is an incredible opportunity to serve in the name of Jesus right in our community! Surrounded by love and support from our congregation, students and volunteers will make a tangible difference through construction projects and partnerships with local non-profit organizations. Each evening, we come together for worship – diving into God’s Word, lifting our voices in praise, and growing in faith. The moments between are filled with laughter, prayer, games, great food, and most importantly, encountering Jesus in powerful ways.
Throughout the week, students will journey alongside a small group, led by two dedicated adult volunteers. First Methodist Mansfield will serve as a “home base” where we will return after serving. Those who participate in Mission Week walk away with renewed identity in Christ and a passion for loving God and their neighbor. We can’t wait for you to be part of it!
5TH GRADE MISSION SQUAD
Annually for 5th Graders
5th Grade Mission Squad is the perfect introduction to Mission Week! Students will participate in meal times and worship with the whole group while also receiving hands-on tool training, engaging in small group discussions, and taking part in exciting activities.
Each day, 5th graders will arrive on campus for breakfast, pack their lunches, and work on a service project. On Thursday, students will experience their first off-campus work site, followed by an afternoon of fun at Hawaiian Falls before joining middle school and high school students for closing worship.
