What is the Included Special Needs Ministry?

The Included Special Needs Ministry is designed to accommodate people of all ages, abilities, and needs.

What is the vision of the Included Ministry?

To provide a safe and loving environment geared towards meeting the needs of our participants while they learn about Jesus, make and form new friendships, and establish life skills.

What is the age group for Included vs Included Jr?

Our Included ministry is for adults with special needs aged 18 years and older, and our Included Jr ministry is for children from Kindergarten to 12th grade.

What does weekend worship look like?

We offer weekly Bible Studies on Saturday evenings at 6 pm for our Included participants. We participate in worship music in the Sanctuary, receive communion, and engage in Bible study with a short developmentally appropriate discussion. On Sundays, the Sensory Station is open at the 9:30 and 11:00 am services for our Included Jr participants who need a quiet, sensory-friendly, calming environment to worship.

What does weekday programming look like?

We offer weekday programming for our Included participants to socialize, learn or improve on already developed life skills, and grow in faith.

Do I or my family need to be a Methodist or a member of First Methodist Mansfield to join Included?

No, all participants and families are welcome to participate in Included, regardless of denomination or membership status. We invite everyone to join our programs and be a part of our community.

How can I get more involved in the Included Ministry?

We would love to have you serve anytime you can. Our friends enjoy meeting new people and having someone to visit with.
