KAIROS PRISON MINISTRY – COOKIE DROP-OFF
THIS WEEKEND • All Services • Atrium
Kairos Weekend November 2 – 5
Give the gift of cookies! Our Kairos Prison Ministry is in need of 3,000 DOZEN cookies for the upcoming Kairos Weekend later on this month. This simple offering of cookies actually has a deeper meaning. Each inmate at the Boyd unit will receive a dozen cookies, then each person going through the Kairos Weekend will receive another dozen cookies for themselves, and then another dozen cookies to give to somebody else they have wronged. The cookies we give as a church serve as a symbol of grace and forgiveness. How incredible is that?
Cookies will be collected THIS WEEKEND at our Ministry Corner located in our Atrium. If you are interested in baking cookies for this ministry, visit our website at FMCM.org/Kairos to see the specific guidelines.
CANCER WRISTBANDS ARE AVAILABLE

LET’S PLAN AHEAD
November 12th • 2:00 – 3:00 • Building D
On Sunday, November 12 at 2:00pm in the Gathering Room in Building D, Rev. Brenda Beaver, LMSW-IPR, will present a workshop called “Let’s Plan Ahead.” Participants will be given a guide to help plan a personalized funeral or memorial service, in advance, for the benefit of surviving loved ones who will be tasked with the responsibility of creating a Celebration of Life remembrance worship service. The guide that will be shared with workshop participants guides you to choose your favorite hymns or worship music and your favorite musicians to share their gift for your service, meaningful scripture passages to be read, and allows you to choose your pastor or pastors to speak. The guide allows you to document, now, your other wishes that will enable your loved ones to honor your desires and to create a meaningful way to celebrate your life and legacy. Rev. Brenda will also discuss the importance of completing personal Medical Advance Directives at this point in your life; other matters involving end-of-life documentation and conversation starters for having this “discussion” with your loved ones will also be shared. Please register now for this helpful workshop.
