Celebrating what God is doing
through your faithfulness

by David Alexander

Thoughts from David Alexander

Dear First Family,

One of the great joys of my life is having a front row seat to see what God is doing in your life and in the life we share together. That is part of my daily experience and as almost 300 volunteers prepare to welcome 120 guests for our annual Night to Shine prom this evening, I know today will be another beautiful expression of that blessing.

I want to thank you again for being a church that is so faithful in your commitment to living out the life and love of Jesus through events like Night to Shine.

Another expression of this was how many reached out this week wanting to give after Monday’s devastating earthquake in Turkey. We are blessed to have long-term partnerships with great organizations who offer immediate and long term support in the aftermath of events like these. With that in mind, we will be directing any gift you would like to share to the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR).

Whether you make a gift online or this weekend, if you will simply note that as for “Earthquake Relief” we will make sure your sacrifice is immediately put to use to help those in greatest need.

Let me share two final notes with you today.

First, today is the last day to take our church-wide survey. I am grateful that so many of you have already shared your feedback. If you haven’t shared yet, you can do so now by visiting this link

Finally, for those attending one of our Sunday morning services who are able, I want to encourage you to use our remote parking lot located across Pleasant Ridge drive. With our parking lot filling up more and more on Sunday mornings, this is an easy way to find a parking spot, bless a first time or returning guest and get you right where you need to be with our shuttle service.

I look forward to seeing you this weekend!

Grace & Peace,

Pastor David
