Pastor Don Scott

Pastor Don was born in Cleburne, Texas where his parents owned and operated a dairy farm. The whole family was very active at St. Mark’s UMC. After graduating from high school, Pastor Don earned a B.A. in History from Texas A&M where he was a member of the “Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band”. Originally intending to go to law school, he answered a call to ordained ministry and earned a Master’s of Divinity from Brite Divinity TCU.

Don has served 42 years in the Central Texas Conference at multiple churches and as a District Superintendent.

Don is married to Liz and they are the proud parents of Blaire Surly who, with her husband Chris and son Sam, attend our church. They also have a son Patrick with his wife Shannon and have 3 children, Molly, Maggie, and Taylor.
