So many things to celebrate at FMCM!

Thoughts from David Alexander

Dear First Family –

We have had quite a week here at First Methodist Mansfield. On Monday we welcomed over 500 children and their families to our campus for Vacation Bible Camp! Of those 500 children, 50 of them were part of our Included Special Needs Ministry, and 33 of them were part of our first ever 5th Grade Mission Squad. In addition to that, we had over 250 serving this week as shepherds, buddies, and many other serving positions to make this week a success. If you served in some capacity this week at our Vacation Bible Camp, I hope you feel appreciated.

While Vacation Bible Camp was going on this week, we also celebrated two of our pastors on Monday night. Pastor Julian was commissioned as a Provisional Member and Pastor Thomas was ordained as a Full Elder at our Central Texas Annual Conference Ordination Service. If you see them this weekend, I want to invite you to join me in congratulating them.

Our summer has just started! Next week we are hosting the Mansfield Summer Strings Camp, which has been a dream of our Traditional Worship Arts Director, Dr. Scott Ferrell, for a long, long time. I know those who have signed up will be richly blessed.

I look forward to continuing our season reading through the book of Ephesians with you in worship. This weekend we will be reading Ephesians 12:11-22

See you in worship!

Grace and Peace
Pastor David
