Opportunities for prayer &
special service this weekend!

by David Alexander

Thoughts from David Alexander

Dear First Family,

I want to begin by expressing my thanks to all who participated in the National Day of Prayer.

We had several events with churches from around our community uniting to pray with anyone who shared a prayer need at Walmart and Market Street throughout the day. We also hosted two simultaneous events at Mansfield Methodist and Texas Health which included music from the choirs at Mansfield High School, Legacy High School and Mary Jo Sheppard Elementary and concluded with a prayer walk at our two local hospitals.

For all those who were present or participated in any way, thank you for blessing our community, our hospitals, our nation and our world with your prayers.

Today I want you to be aware of two special opportunities for prayer and service we have this weekend.

First, tomorrow at 11am in our main sanctuary, our Pastors and Care Chaplains will be available for a time of healing prayer. If you are in need of prayer for healing for any physical, emotional or spiritual needs, you may schedule your time for healing prayer through this link, or simply arrive before 11:30am this Saturday.

For more information contact Pastor Sharon at pastorsharon@fmcm.org.

Second, I want to invite you to be a part of our Feed the Kids food drive this weekend. In all our weekend services there will be brown grocery bags in the pews with a list of items needed to support Feed the Kids. This is a local Ministry Partner whose sole purpose is to feed children that are food insecure over the summer. If you are able to pick up a bag, we would love for you to bring it back the following weekend with the items requested.

If you will not be present this weekend but wish to participate, email serving@fmcm.org.

I look forward to being with you in worship on this special Mother’s Day weekend as we continue our pursuit of Real Christianity!

Grace & Peace,
Pastor David
