Dear First Family,
What an incredible Easter we shared last weekend. We had a tremendous crowd at both of our Easter celebrations at the Mansfield ISD Center for the Performing Arts, and in the pouring rain, we even had 230 at our Sunrise Service! All of our worship teams did an incredible job leading us. Hundreds of you volunteered to welcome and serve our members and guests. It was such a beautiful day, and I want to thank you for all you did to make Sunday and all of our Holy Week services so wonderful.
In the aftermath of such a huge holiday, today I want to make sure you don’t miss several important events coming up in the next week.
Little Hands of Christ (Saturday, April 24th • 9 am)
Tomorrow, we are launching a brand new ministry called Little Hands of Christ, which is a service opportunity for kids ages 5 and up to attend with their parents or grandparents. Modeled after our monthly Hands of Christ serving days, this is a unique opportunity for families to serve together. We are excited about our first annual Little Hands of Christ project that will take place this Saturday, April 24th, at 9 am.

Welcome Home Dinner (Wednesday, April 30th • 6:30 pm)
If you are new to our church, we would love to host you this Wednesday night, April 30th, at 6:30 pm for our Welcome Home Dinner. We will be sharing a great meal, and our goal is to simply be available to provide you a more personal welcome, to spend time connecting, and to help you get more connected to our ministry. This is something our pastors and staff look forward to every quarter, and we would love to see you there!
Please visit this link and register so we can make sure we have enough food for everyone.
National Day of Prayer ( Thursday, May 1st • 6 pm • Methodist Mansfield Medical Center & Texas Health Hospital)
This coming Thursday is the National Day of Prayer, and I want to invite you to be present for one of two prayer gatherings happening in our city. This is an event that the pastors in our community work together to provide. Both gatherings will start at 6 pm, with one of those happening at Methodist Mansfield Medical Center and another happening at Texas Health Hospital. There will be a short program including songs from local choirs, with our choir singing at Texas Health. The night will end with a prayer walk around each of the hospitals. Please join us as we pray for our community, our state, and our nation.
I’m looking forward to seeing you in worship this weekend as we dive into our next focus on The Power of Words!
I love you and I am proud of you,
Pastor David
