Join us for a new season!

by David Alexander

Thoughts from David Alexander

Dear First Family,

Like many other families in our church, we are celebrating a graduate in our household. This afternoon at 2pm, our oldest daughter Anna will receive her diploma from Mansfield High School. Many of you have watched Anna grow from the 18 month toddler she was when we came to Mansfield in 2005 to the young woman she is today. Stephanie and I are tremendously proud of her and mindful that countless numbers of you have poured your heart, love and faith into our little girl over these many years.

We are deeply grateful.

This weekend will be the start of a new season for us as we begin a 12 week journey through the book of Ephesians in all our worship services as well as our First 15 daily devotional resource which you can find at www.dailyfirst15.org. If you did not get a chance to pick up one of our Ephesians journals, those will be available this week and I want to especially encourage you to bring your Bible with you to worship this week and throughout these summer months.

We will begin this weekend by looking at Ephesians 1:1-14.

I would encourage you to read that in the next few days as we prepare to gather for worship this Saturday Night at 6pm or Sunday morning at 9:30am and 11am. And if you are traveling this holiday weekend, don’t forget that you can join us online wherever you are at each of those times.

I hope you have a wonderful and safe Memorial Day and that we each take time to pause and remember the reason for this national holiday. Since World War I, more than 645,000 have lost their lives in service to our nation. On Monday, we remember and give thanks for each who gave the ultimate sacrifice and pray for God’s blessing and grace for their families.

I love you and I am proud of you,

Pastor David
