Watch the Countdown

by AnnMarie McLain

Dear First Family,

I hope you join Pastor David and me this week on The Countdown as we get you ready for worship. We’ll do our best to prepare you for what promises to be a powerful and timely message from Pastor Julian in addition to the incredible offerings from our worship and production teams.

I’m very excited about these upcoming ministry opportunities. Please take a look at what is upcoming below.

A Night with New Room. In uncertain times, we need to be reminded of the faithfulness of God. Few know what it’s like to lead through the unknown without losing faith like Pastor Jim Cymbala of the Brooklyn Tabernacle. Join New Room for their first-ever live stream evening of worship, teaching, and prayer. This event is open to everybody and will take place next Friday night, September 25, at 6 pm. You don’t want to miss this free event! Register here.

Music with a Mission featuring Josh Weathers. From career-building to Kingdom building! I can’t wait for you to see my interview with Mansfield’s own, Josh Weathers. Enjoy a night of inspiration and music as Josh shares his story with us and what inspired him to change from ascending towards fame in music to promoting two causes for the Kingdom of God: a non-profit in India called Love Like You Mean It and Safe Families. This online event is a collaboration between Guys Night Out and Missions & Serving and will be streamed on October 2 at 7pm. Please mark your calendars and tune in! Outdoor Worship. We are back and in-person starting on October 4th at 6 pm! We have been working hard to launch a new outdoor worship service on Sunday nights on our new Remote Parking Lot. This new service and space allow us to gather safely and worship with one another in person! We have areas in the parking lot set aside to accommodate everyone’s comfort level with a grassy area for you to sit on a blanket or picnic tables or you can also stay in your car and listen on our FM radio channel. Both our Contemporary Worship Arts and Traditional Worship Arts teams will be present on a stage, along with a short message from Pastor David. We hope that you make plans to join us in person starting on October 4th.

I want to encourage you to worship with us and continue your giving online or by downloading our Church App by texting FMCMAPP to 77977 or by searching FMCM in your App Store.

I thank God for you and praise Him for your faithfulness to the gospel. I look forward to seeing you around campus when the wave of this virus subsides. That day can’t come soon enough!

Grace and Peace in Christ,

Pastor Shea
