It’s time to say, “Thank you, Jesus.”

by David Alexander

Dear First Family,

I hope you will be in worship this weekend at one of our three services as we come to the end of our fall focus. We spent many weeks emphasizing our need for community as well as the key practices and values that, as followers of Jesus, we believe we are called to live out in our Life Together

While it is outside of our normal rhythm, we will receive Holy Communion together this weekend for a very simple reason. Our conviction is that the perfect picture of the intended goal of the life that we share together is when we all come to the table of the Lord to participate in this holy meal. With all our faults and frailties, we come to bow before the Lord, to acknowledge our shared need and once again say,

Thank you, Jesus.”

I hope those simple words will be on your heart today and in the days to come as we prepare to gather again in worship this weekend.

This weekend will also mark the beginning of one of the most beautiful expressions of our Life Together with our annual Angel Tree. All are invited to participate in this opportunity to adopt and bless one of 450 Angels this Christmas. You can stop by our atrium this weekend and pick out an angel and if you want to know more about additional serving opportunities connected to Angel Tree, visit our website here

In our Atrium, you also have the chance to connect with our Military Ministry. We have created a temporary wall of honor for our active duty military, veterans and our gold star families. If you missed the chance to add a star last weekend, you can still do so at any of our services. You may also email those to info@fmcm.org or text that information to 817-477-6498 and we will add those to our wall.

Our Military Ministry is also collecting items for the USO. If you would like to participate, you can find a list of requested items by visiting our website here

I hope to see you in worship this weekend!

Grace & Peace,

Pastor David
