Holy Week starts this weekend.

Dear First Family, 

This weekend we enter into the week that is the high point of our entire year. I hope you will join me in experiencing the fullness of Holy Week. Here is everything you need to know to be a part of our remembrance of the final steps Jesus took towards the cross and our glorious Easter celebrations! 

This Weekend
Holy Week starts with Palm Sunday worship this weekend as we celebrate in all four of our weekend services, the triumphant journey Christ took into Jerusalem. There will be lots of joy and palm branches. I would like to remind you that we will be having our Second Saturday Fellowship on Saturday night after service. Holy Thursday 
April 17 • 7pm • Sanctuary and Online
On Thursday night our Traditional Worship Arts team will be bringing us, “12 At The Table”, a powerful short drama depicting da Vinci’s painting of the Last Supper meal celebrated by Jesus and His disciples. We will end the service by taking part in Holy Communion with one another. 

Good Friday
April 18 • 7pm • Sanctuary and Online
On Friday we will have our Good Friday service at 7pm in the Sanctuary. This is a meaningful service put on by our Contemporary Worship Arts team is full of liturgy and music by our very own Dylan and Larisa Peacock. If you plan on participating in this service online, you can download the liturgy on our online bulletin at fmcm.org/bulletin . If you would like us to email you a copy of the liturgy, simply email us at info@fmcm.org and we will send it to you so you can follow along. 

Easter
I also hope that you have made plans to join us at one of our three Easter morning worship services. If you are new to First Methodist Mansfield, I want to encourage you to take a moment and read over the details for all of our Easter worship services. One thing that makes our Easter worship unique is that we do not worship on our campus and instead we bring the Hope of Easter into our community. SUNRISE SERVICE
April 20  •  7:00am  •  Town Park
Celebrate the Risen Lord at the Sunrise Service at Town Park (500 N Main St, Mansfield, TX 76063). Come as you are and join us as we experience the joy that comes on Easter Morning.
 

EASTER WORSHIP SERVICES
April 20 •  9:30am and 11:00am  •  MISD Center for the Performing Arts and online
Head over to the Mansfield ISD Center for the Performing Arts (1110 W Debbie Ln, Mansfield, TX 76063) for our 9:30 and 11:00 worship services. The 9:30 service is our contemporary service, featuring our fantastic Contemporary Worship team. At 11:00, we have our Traditions service with the choir, bells, orchestra, and more. We will have several photo opportunities to capture the hope of Easter with your whole family either before or after worship. Childcare is available at both service times for all children 3 years old and younger as well as Special Needs Kids Care available during the 11:00 service.
