Refresh Book Club is an upcoming gathering on November 16th, hosted by Refresh Women’s Ministry. This is a great opportunity to build friendships and grow in your faith by discussing a book with like-minded women. During the gathering, we will talk about how we can apply biblical themes to our lives as women of Christ. This month’s book, “Keeper of Happy Endings” by Barbara Davis, is available through Amazon. Register for the event here, and childcare is also available.

November 12th  •  2:00 – 3:00  •
Building D
On Sunday, November 12th at 2:00pm in the Gathering Room in Building D, Rev. Brenda Beaver, LMSW-IPR, will present a workshop called “Let’s Plan Ahead.” Participants will be given a guide to help plan a personalized funeral or memorial service, in advance, for the benefit of surviving loved ones who will be tasked with the responsibility of creating a Celebration of Life remembrance worship service. The guide that will be shared with workshop participants guides you to choose your favorite hymns or worship music and your favorite musicians to share their gift for your service, meaningful scripture passages to be read, and allows you to choose your pastor or pastors to speak. The guide allows you to document, now, your other wishes that will enable your loved ones to honor your desires and to create a meaningful way to celebrate your life and legacy. Pastor Brenda will also discuss the importance of completing personal Medical Advance Directives at this point in your life; other matters involving end-of-life documentation and conversation starters for having this “discussion” with your loved ones will also be shared. Please register now for this helpful workshop.

It’s Angel Tree time! Stop by our atrium during these weekends to adopt an angel and find out all the different ways you can serve with our Angel Tree. Each year we support “angels” from the Mansfield ISD, the Methodist Children’s Home, Homeless Veterans and families, the Mansfield Nursing Home, as well as Common Ground Network. There are several different ways you and your family can serve with our Angel Tree team this year! To find out more information or to volunteer, visit our website at fmcm.org/angeltree.
