Pastor Thomas Mitchell

Thomas grew up here in Mansfield and joined First Methodist Mansfield with his family in the late 1990s. After high school, he attended the University of Texas at Arlington where he graduated with a B.A. in History (and later a Master of Divinity from SMU Perkins School of Theology). While at UTA, he met Eden who he later married in 2017. It was also in his years there that he first heard a call to ministry.

Following graduation, Thomas served 8 years in ministry at the UTA Wesley Foundation before coming to First Methodist Mansfield in 2022.

Thomas and Eden have two young children: Elias and June. They love spending time outdoors as a family whether in the backyard or at a local park. In his free time, Thomas loves to run, play disc golf, and travel.
