Pastor Mike Ramsdell

Pastor Mike has been a pastor for 42 years with 21 of those serving as Senior Pastor of First Methodist Mansfield. The Bible verse “Ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake” (2 Cor. 4:5) has guided his ministry since he pastored his first church in Bangs, Texas. Pastor Mike served in the Navy for four years before attending college in Springfield, Missouri, and seminary here in Texas. He is originally from San Angelo, TX, but grew up living all over the world in an Air Force Family. He has an identical twin brother, Steve, who is also a Methodist Pastor.

In recent years, he has served as a District Superintendent and Executive Director of a center that supports clergy and churches in growth, mission, and evangelism.

Pastor Mike met his wife Rhonda in Key West, Florida where he was stationed in the Navy. (Yes, they met in church). They have been married 45 years and love sharing life together. Their 3 grown children— Julie, Michael, and Kelly all married wonderful spouses and celebrate growing families of their own. Mike and Rhonda are the proud grandparents of 12 grandchildren (eight boys and four girls) and one great-grandchild who range in age from brand new to 23 years old.
