Dear First Family,
As we give thanks for veterans this weekend, there are several opportunities I want to highlight for you today.
First, this evening we are having Guys Night Out starting at 6:30pm. Tonight’s gathering is going to feature some great food, trivia, and PickleBall. There is still time to register and you can do so by clicking this link.
On Saturday, the city of Mansfield will be having a Veterans Day Parade at 10 am. Following the parade, our Chancel Choir will be participating in a musical patriotic salute in front of The LOT in downtown Mansfield. Saturday’s event will include more than 50 floats, a flyover, the Mansfield High School Band, Lake Ridge High School Band & Choir, JL Boren Elementary’s 3rd grade choir and more. Finally, during our weekend services, our Military Ministry will be helping us recognize and honor all active or retired military as well as our Gold Star families. These volunteers will be in the Ministry Corner area in our Atrium where you can fill out a star we will be displaying outside our worship space. We will also be collecting donations for the USO this weekend.
