Interest Groups

Our 55+ Senior Adult Ministry mixes fun with faith for those of us in the second phase of life. Though we may be near or at retirement age, we are not called to retire from life! God continues to ask each of us to serve, meet new people, engage in the Bible, and find joy in life! We want to stay engaged in the life of the church and community, so we offer events, trips, Bible studies, speakers, and opportunities to serve together. This church reaches out to the community with programs that challenge and enrich the mind and spirit, all 55+ Senior Adult events are open to guests and members. We would love for you to join us for any of our upcoming events or programs.

Come on Wednesday morning from 9:00 - 9:45 for our Chair Yoga class which is held in the Atrium area outside the Sanctuary, Bldg. B. We have two yoga instructors that will be leading at different times to guide you through stretching and strengthening in a safe way. Wear comfortable clothes and bring water. This is for men and women.

Welcoming new members to JOIN our outreach ministry "GOD'S SEWING and CROCHETING MINISTRY."
Our vision is faith-based. We encourage members to use their sewing or crocheting talents in our community outreach program. We meet the needs of the 4 major hospitals and follow their guidelines for making newborn baby essentials—requirements: 100% fabric or yarn in making handmade baby blankets, burp cloths, and lap pads.
We work from home, and our quarterly meetings are held at restaurants.

Do you love to play the guitar? Join the Holy Pickers! All levels of experience are welcome. The Holy Pickers practice weekly on Wednesday evenings at 6:00 PM in Building D. They perform at church events, nursing homes, and in the community.

Looking for a fun playgroup for your little ones? Want to connect with other parents and grandparents here in Mansfield? Then join us for Little Explorers! This group meets once a month at various locations throughout the community and is open to anyone with young children or grandchildren. Little Explorers is all about providing a space for the kids to play and explore while the adults have time to engage and connect with one another. Our men's softball league is for men of all skill levels. The action takes place on Tuesday's evenings. Our 2025 Fall season will begin on September 23- November 11, 2025. Life can get crazy. There's power in men coming together to compete, pray, and HAVE FUN! Come be a part of it.

There's power in men coming together to compete, pray, and HAVE FUN! Men of all ages, meeting in A-210/211, Sundays from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. for Bible study and group discussion. This group moves to the gym for their weekly basketball fun from 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. All levels of experience welcome. Childcare is unavailable. Contact grouplife@fmcm.org for more information.

Quilting with Heart meets in Building D Room 101 from 1 - 3 PM. The Quilting with Heart women's group meets every third Wednesday of the month for fun, community, and quilting! Come and join the fun!

Looking for a fun way to spend your Thursday evenings? Look no further than the Thursday Evening Pickleball Fellowship! Join us from 6-8 PM for some friendly competition and great company. So come on out and get your pickleball on! Co-ed.

This outside group, The Widow's Game Group, meets here on our campus twice a month for social and game time. No experience necessary. This group meets on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month. View their website at https://www.wpstc.org/

Our Yarn Ministry group is for all, from the newest beginners, to the expert. For those who are beginners they will provide yarn and needles for you to get started, whether it's crocheting or knitting. They make potholders for the Food Pantry, baby blankets for the women's center, and also lap blankets and prayer shawls for Methodist Hospital. It's a great group of ladies!
