The Power of Words starts this weekend!

by First Methodist Mansfield

THE POWER OF WORDS
All Services Starting This Weekend
The book of Proverbs declares, “The tongue has the power of life and death.” In his New Testament letter, James describes our words as having the capacity to direct our lives like a small rudder guides a large ship. Join us in worship this weekend as we begin looking at the power of the words we say to one another, the words we say to ourselves, and the words we say to God.

LITTLE HANDS OF CHRIST
April 26th  •   8:00 am – 12:00 pm  •   Building D
Registration is still open for our first annual “Little” Hands of Christ project this Saturday. This will be a unique opportunity for our young families to serve together. Kids ages 5 and up are encouraged to come serve alongside their parents as we bless our community through age-appropriate service projects. We will end our time together with lunch and fellowship time. Register HERE.

KAIROS COOKIES RETURN
April 26th and 27th
It’s not too late to help bless others by baking cookies! You are invited to bake cookies for Kairos Prison Ministry. The cookies that our church family bakes are available every day on the tables for those participating in the Kairos Weekend to eat at free will. These cookies serve as just a small example of the grace that God offers all of us.   All cookies are due back this weekend (April 26th and 27th) in our Ministry Corner. For more information or to see the specific cookie instructions, visit our website HERE

JOURNEY THROUGH GRIEF

If you are grieving a loss in your life, whether the loss of a loved one, a job, a divorce, etc. We want to invite you to attend Journey Through Grief.  Journey Through Grief is a 6-week class for those who have experienced any kind of loss by providing tools and a supportive environment to understand and cope with the grief process. You are not alone in this journey and your new way of life. Our facilitators for this class understand how deeply grief and loss affect people and families, and we would like to share resources to help during this time as we walk with you. Childcare is available for the night session.

Get ready for an unforgettable week at Vacation Bible Camp 2025 as we dive into this year’s theme: Live It Out: Discover How to Love Like Jesus! Imagine a week where kids in Pre-K through 4th grade, don’t just learn about Jesus’ love—they put it into action! Through powerful Bible stories, uplifting worship, and hands-on activities, kids will discover practical ways to love like Jesus by praying, serving, forgiving, and showing kindness in their everyday lives. VBC is open to ALL children who have completed Pre-K through 4th grade during the 2024-2025 school year. We follow the MISD age guidelines, meaning your child must have turned 4 by September 1, 2024, to be in the Pre-K class. For more information and to register, click HERE.
