Many of you have asked over the past week how you can help those who are in need at this time. Our Missions and Serving team has sent out an email with all of the ways you can help! Read that email here.
If you or somebody you know needs assistance, please email us at email@example.com.
October 10-15, 2021
This October we’ll be ready for a mission trip to UMCOR’s Sager Brown Disaster Response Depot in Baldwin, Louisiana. Volunteers will process relief kits to be shipped and staged for disaster response through the US and beyond. The setting of the Depot is relaxing and beautiful, along the banks of Bayou Teche. The basic registration fee per person is $275. Deadline to register is May 15, 2021.
And speaking of UMCOR Relief Kits, we need to replenish the dozens of 5-gallon bucket cleaning kits we provided our neighbors to help with clean-up following the winter storm. If you or your group would like to make a cleaning kit, you can find the instructions here: https://umcmission.org/umcor-
We partner with Fort Worth’s Beautiful Feet Church to minister to the local homeless population.
Beautiful Feet Church ministry is in need of:
*Each week we will have an assigned item to cook, view the Beautiful Feet Meal Schedule 2021. Prepared meals should be sent in a disposable container, preferably an aluminum foil pan so that it can be refrigerated/frozen easily, then reheated in the oven. It is not necessary for food to be sent hot. Drop off these donations by the west side of Building D’s metal garage doors. For more details, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
We need the following donations for the Feed the Kids program. These can be dropped off anytime in the Big Blue Bins in front of the Mission Building (Building D) on the church campus. Contact email@example.com if you have questions.
Volunteers deliver lunch meals to homebound persons Monday through Friday. Currently, we need volunteers to serve as Subs and Regular Route drivers. If you would like to serve with MOW, contact servingfmcm.org.
