We offer a variety of studies and classes to meet you where you are in your discipleship journey. Whether you begin with a Bible Basics class, join us for Pastor-led studies, or longer-term studies, we have a place just for you! Here are some studies and classes we are offering this spring!

In this 9-week study and small group experience, you will learn the historical and theological background of the class meeting and how to participate in one of your own. You’re invited to join this 12-week highly recommended study of a deep exploration of the Old Testament.  You’ll learn how God’s redeeming grace, weaves together a story that runs from the Eden of the Garden to the garden of the New Jerusalem. From the Pentateuch to patriarchs and from kings to prophets, this study will show you how understanding biblical history leads to fresh depths of New Testament faith for everyday life in the real world. Calling all Men for Bible Study Fellowship!  The Mansfield Men’s Chapter of Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) International will meet at First United Methodist Church on Tuesday evenings beginning this September 13th and through May 9th, at 7:00 – 8:30 PM. BSF offers worldwide, non-denominational, in-depth, small-group Bible studies led by trained group leaders, with the aim of producing passionate commitment to Christ, His Word, and His Church. All courses are offered free of charge but advocate a daily time commitment of personal study to prepare for the weekly group discussion.

Men wishing to bring their kids (aged 6 to 18 years) can enroll them in the School Program. To register for the study, visit the BSF website at bsfinternational.org, select the “Find A Group” option, and follow the instructions. 

January 11 – May 17  •  9:30 – 10:30 AM  • Chapel

You’re invited to attend an ongoing Bible study in our sanctuary! This one-hour study, led by our pastors, provides a way for everybody to take a deep dive into a book of the Bible in a new and powerful way. This semester we will be studying the book of Matthew. The Book of Galatians is a passionate letter written by the apostle Paul explaining what it really looks like to be followers of Jesus Christ. Paul is adamant that the gospel is all we need to know to live truly free – that Jesus is enough and nothing needs to be added. Join Refresh Women’s Ministry for this six-week Bible study by Jada Edwards that will show you the freedom of receiving your acceptance in Christ.
