A Note From Pastor Shea

A Note From Pastor Shea

Dear First Family,

Pastor David and I look forward to sharing a conversation with you this Sunday on the theme of Building Community. This will conclude our series We Are The Church. If you have questions related to this theme and how it affects our context, please email them to me at pastorshea@fmcm.org. We’ll do our best to engage with any questions you send us on Sunday. I’ll share more with you next week about our upcoming sermon series called Chosen.

We’re excited about these upcoming ministry opportunities. Please take a look at what is upcoming below.

Beginning July 1 at 7 pm, join Refresh Women's Ministry for a six-week study of Psalms. Each week we will study selected Psalms using a simple guide to uncover the context, meaning, and life application of the Scripture together. Understanding these Psalms will enrich our personal time of prayer, and the range of emotions found in them help us find words to express what’s in our heart to God in every circumstance. This study will help us connect with Scripture in a new way while we deepen our relationship with God and one another. Register here!

Virtual VBC started this week and it has been a big success so far! It's not too late for you to be part of this special week. Make plans to join us for our Vacation Bible Camp Family Night which is tonight online! You can tune-in to any one of our platforms tonight at 6:30 pm.  Family Night is a time for all of us to recap the fun we have had this week and end our Virtual VBC with songs, scripture, and all the joy that comes with hundreds of children all over worshipping online together.

Our church family is committed in helping Common Ground Network with their program to Feed the Kids for Summer, a weekly program that provides much needed food for children in the Mansfield ISD over the summer months. The organization has run into a food supply issue in acquiring some of the key protein items needed for good balanced nutrition in the food bags. In response to this need, Common Ground Network has asked our church family to sponsor individual-size, pop-top can or pouch, chicken and tuna protein items throughout the summer. Please help Feed the Kids for Summer by dropping off your donations in the Blue Bins located in front of the Missions Building, Building D, on campus. Each child will also receive free books throughout the summer to help boost their reading skills. If you would like to make a donation, go to Common Ground Network.

Here is the schedule for this weekend and the upcoming week. Please take note and share with others.

I want to encourage you to worship with us and continue your giving online or by downloading our Church App by texting FMCMAPP to 77977 or by searching FMCM in your App Store.

I thank God for you and praise Him for your faithfulness to the gospel. I look forward to seeing you around campus when the wave of this virus subsides. That day can’t come soon enough!

Grace and Peace in Christ,

Pastor Shea
