A Note From Pastor Shea

A Note From Pastor Shea

Dear First Family,

I hope you join us in worship this weekend as we continue our series called The Next Great Awakening. This series was not what we planned to begin before all our lives took this dramatic turn and COVID-19 became part of our lives. However, we are living through this time with the conviction that monumental movements of the Spirit often happen at monumental moments in human history. We are witnessing a great movement of the Spirit! When we believe that it is safe for our church to physically gather again, we will not only be stronger than ever before, but also on the verge of experiencing a movement of God among us like none of us have ever seen before. God is speaking and moving in mighty ways!

Being the first Sunday of the month, we'll be receiving Holy Communion together in both worship services. If you would like, please prepare to have bread and grape juice on hand, or the closest equivalent, as Pastor David leads us in receiving the elements and remembering the body and blood of Jesus poured out for you and me for the forgiveness of our sins.

Please join me and Pastor Mike during the next three weeks for Pastor's Bible Study as we explore the truth and mysteries of the Book of Jude. This book is one of the most neglected books of the Bible written by one of Jesus’ very own brothers. Jude integrates stories from the Old Testament and Jewish tradition to warn the early church against corruption. Join us on Wednesdays at noon or 6:30pm. For more information, contact grouplife@fmcm.org.

One of the main areas of feedback we received through our survey was the fact that many of you find the evenings the best time to participate in what we offer online. We now offer a variety of opportunities for you in the evenings. Visit our new website to see descriptions of all of these opportunities and how to tune in - www.fmcmonline.org.

Here is the schedule for this weekend and the upcoming week. Please take note and share with others.

I want to encourage you to worship with us and continue your giving online or by downloading our Church App by texting FMCMAPP to 77977 or by searching FMCM in your App Store.

I thank God for you and praise Him for your faithfulness to the gospel. I look forward to seeing you around campus when the wave of this virus subsides. That day can’t come soon enough!

Grace and Peace in Christ,

Pastor Shea
