A Note From Pastor Shea

Dear First Family,

Happy Valentine’s Day! Make sure you share with your spouse or significant other how grateful you are for their persistent love in your life expressed through [fill in the blank]. I’m trying to help you with the gratitude challenge today. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, Pastor David initiated a challenge to the congregation at the beginning of our Double Blessing series. The challenge is to write down 3 things you are grateful for each day during our Double Blessing series. The rules are: you cannot write down the same thing twice, and you have to be specific. At the end of this challenge, you will have a list of over 60 different things you are grateful for. Start today if you haven’t already! There are 10 days left. What are you grateful for?

Please join Pastor David and me this weekend in worship as we continue our series, Double Blessing. You won’t want to miss the challenge we have for you this weekend.

In addition to worship, check out these upcoming ways to be in community, grow in faith, and serve:

Dive Deeper into God’s Word. It's not too late to join in on Pastors Bible Study, Acts, and 1 Thessalonians. Pastors Bible Study meets Wednesday mornings at 9:30AM. Acts Bible Study meets Wednesday evenings at 6:30PM. You can watch all of these lessons, including Pastor Mike leading 1 Thessalonians, on our website or through our app.

We are looking forward to once again hosting United Mission Week! This is a week set apart in July for our Middle School, High School, and Special Needs students and adults to participate in a week-long local mission experience. In addition to United Mission Week, we are also excited to take on a new adventure as we travel with our current High School students to Vinita, Oklahoma and participate in an out-of-state mission trip in early June. Registration for both of these mission experiences is open! You can register today by visiting fmcm.org/unitedmissions or through our FMCM App.

Are you separated, going through a divorce, or divorced? Would you like support as you heal and navigate this season? We offer Divorce Care, a 13-week small group. We also offer Divorce Care for Kids, which is a program designed specifically for children. These are open to anyone in the community beginning February 18 at 6:30 PM. Go to fmcm.org/divorcecare

For those of you who will be out of town this weekend, I want to encourage you to worship with us and continue your giving online or by downloading our new Church App by texting FMCMAPP to 77977 or by searching FMCM in your App Store.

I thank God for you and praise Him for your faithfulness to the gospel. I look forward to seeing you around campus this weekend.

Grace and Peace in Christ,

Pastor Shea
