A Note From Pastor Sheaby Pastor Shea Reyenga
Dear First Family,
Happy Friday church family! I hope you are enjoying the cooler weather. It’s about time! Most of you know I’m from Indiana and October has always been my favorite month. Cooler fall weather, football season, the World Series, and the turning of the leaves make October great. Even though October in Texas is very different, it’s still my favorite month. And now I never have to worry about taking Max trick-or-treating in the snow!
Please join us this weekend in worship as Pastor David and I continue our series, Story. We are all part of God’s redemptive story. That means you have a story worth sharing. If this is a season for you to take the next step in your faith journey and share your story through service, or you’ve been intentionally looking for new opportunities to serve and grow deeper, please be mindful of the following:
For the month of October, Children's Ministry and Missions & Serving are teaming up for a special offering. We will be collecting monetary gifts that will go to purchasing new bibles for Angel Tree children and teens. You may drop donations off in the Children's Foyer October 1-31st, or place them in the offering plate by marking Angel Tree Bibles on the memo line. You can also make a donation online by going to fmcm.org/angeltree. For more information, contact Michelle Gery or Vicky Hale.
Our yearly Trunk or Treat will take place this Saturday at 4:30 pm in the parking lot next to the Pumpkin Patch. Come dressed in your favorite costume and receive goodies from all of our decorated trunks. After this event, you can head over to the Sanctuary for our 6:00 pm Cornerstone worship service. We are accepting peanut-free candy or prize donations in the Children's Atrium. If your family or small group would like to decorate a trunk, please email Erin Barnes.
Join us in celebrating and supporting our Veterans at Mainstage Classic Theater on November 9th and 10th. Mainstage Classic Theater, Walnut Ridge Baptist Church and First Methodist Church Mansfield present "I'll Be Home for Christmas: A musical about family and hope in the golden days of radio!" There are two showings: November 9th-7pm and November 10th-2pm at Willie Pigg Auditorium. You can buy tickets online at www.MainstageClassicTheater.org or at the door. Proceeds will be given to VETSTART.
I thank God for you and praise Him for your faithfulness to the gospel. I look forward to seeing you around campus this weekend.
Grace and Peace in Christ,
