The mission of First Methodist Mansfield's Special Needs Ministry is to encourage individuals and their families to know the love of Christ. First Methodist Mansfield is a place where individuals can engage in the worship experience with the necessary support and resources provided.
Our Special Needs Ministry provides individuals with physical, intellectual or developmental disabilities the opportunity for spiritual growth and fellowship in a safe environment. We can also provide resources to assist families with appropriate programs, and help identify those who may need extra care.
SPECIAL NEEDS BIBLE STUDY SMALL GROUP
We offer a Special Needs Small Group during adult worship on Saturday nights from 6:00-7:00 p.m. for all ages, children through adult.
We offer a community life group for young adult individuals with disabilities. This group meets the first and third Friday of each month from 9:00-12:00 p.m.
FRIDAY NIGHT RESPITE
A respite night is offered the last Friday of each month from 5:00-8:30 p.m. for individuals with disabilities and their siblings at no cost. Dinner will be provided.
SPECIAL NEEDS MOM’S SMALL GROUP
Join together with new moms on the first Friday of the month from 10:00-12:00 p.m. and create a support team for you and your special needs child. This is a place where you can share your journey and hopefully make some bonding connections right here in Mansfield.
